Advertising and sponsorship policy

How SaaSAlways handles advertising and sponsorship, how paid content is labelled, and what money can never buy.
Last updated 9 October 2026

In short

SaaSAlways may accept advertising and sponsorship to fund independent research. Paid content is always labelled, kept apart from our editorial lists, and never changes the facts, the order or the opinions we publish.

We do not currently sell any sponsored placements. If we start, every rule on this page applies from day one.

What we may offer

  • Featured placements. A clearly marked slot, separate from the A to Z directory and from comparison tables.
  • Sponsored messages. A labelled message in a newsletter or on a page, written or approved by the sponsor and shown as theirs.

Each format will be described on this page, with its label, before we sell it.

How sponsored content is labelled

  • Every paid placement carries a visible Sponsored label next to it, not hidden in a footnote.
  • Sponsored slots sit apart from editorial lists, so they are never mixed into the directory order or a comparison table.
  • Links in paid content are marked rel="sponsored" in the page code.
  • Affiliate links follow our separate affiliate disclosure.

What sponsors cannot buy

  • A listing in the directory, or a faster listing.
  • The content of a profile, including pricing, features, limits and the “check before choosing” notes.
  • A score, a verdict, a review or any editorial opinion.
  • A position in a ranking, a comparison or the homepage grid.
  • The removal or softening of accurate, sourced information.
  • A preview of, or approval over, our editorial content before it is published.

How editorial stays separate

Profiles and comparisons are researched from official vendor sources and approved by an editor under our editorial policy. Whether a vendor advertises with us is not part of that process. Starting, renewing or ending a sponsorship does not change a tool’s profile, its place in the directory or any comparison.

What we decline

We may decline or end any sponsorship that we cannot label clearly, that makes claims we cannot match to an official source, or that would mislead buyers. We do not accept payment to publish reviews, testimonials or endorsements written as if they were independent.

Corrections from vendors

Any vendor, sponsor or not, can ask us to correct a profile. Send the official source that shows the current information through our contact page. We check every request the same way and update the profile only when the source supports it.
